Two poor-spelling angles... uh, that is, angels, Maple and Serenity, have been sent to Earth to help Pepper, a motherless teen. Pepper has no date for the upcoming prom and no money for a dress, even if she had a date. The two angels are also there to help Edward the Awkward, the town's clumsiest boy, overcome his difficulties. Little did they know that Maple would be forced to help Pepper rob her own father's pizzeria shop, and Serenity would become the dimeback... that is, the quarterback, of a new girls' football team en route to their goals. Many of the girls from the high school arrive at Sloppy Joe's rundown pizzeria to tease Pepper, and the boys poke fun at Eddie when he runs into tables and trips over chairs. But the last laugh is on them when the angles... (Whoops!) ...angels... intervene to give both Pepper and Eddie the boosts they need. With much humor and levity, this sweet play teaches some good lessons about triumphing over obstacles in life.
